It would definitely need to be a 3-4 team deal due to the prohibitive cost. Best I could come up with that I would do for the cheapest (and most realistic):
Celts: Bled, Hayes, Oubre, Melli (buyout)
Warriors: Lonzo
Knicks: JJ
Pels: Kemba, Kevin Knox, Nesmith, Ojeleye, 21 Celtics 1st, 22 Celtics swap, 23 1st, 2 Detroit 2nds from Knicks
After the trade, make him have surgery and sit him out for the year, with he hopes he comes back next season as ’Kardiac Kemba’ and you can get good value in another trade for him ala OKC with CP3.

re: Let’s talk KembaPosted by 504Voodoo on 2/13/21 at 9:41 am to SoggymossWould be a terrible move to trade for an undersized guard with major issue issues and whose game is defined by his quickness.
re: Let’s talk KembaPosted by Soggymoss on 2/13/21 at 9:45 am to 504VoodooWhich is why you need a haul to take on the salary, while also opening up more developmental minutes for Kira and NAW.
2 years ago everyone thought CP3 was washed up, but look what OKC was able to do with him in a season. It would be a move that couldn’t backfire on you, since you’re being paid (pretty good might I add) to take on the salary.

re: Let’s talk KembaPosted by brmark70816 on 2/13/21 at 9:50 am to SoggymossDo the Celtics really want to dump him that bad?
The deal would shite can the rest of the year. We trade away our top 3 guards. Our backcourt would be two rookies and NAW. Can’t move Ingram to guard (as everybody loves to do in these threads), unless you think Knox can play big minutes at the 3.
re: Let’s talk KembaPosted by Soggymoss on 2/13/21 at 10:00 am to brmark70816Rumor mill that’s churning is yes he does. He regrets giving him that deal.
Yes it would basically be a punt on the season, with you starting Kira at the one, and NAW, Hart or in my example Nesmith at the 2. We would actually lose just a little bit in the starting lineup, but we would be gaining in bench depth imo. You also are able to sell the move, because if it works out and surgery is indeed what revitalizes Kemba, then you have a pretty deep team next season.
It’s a huge risk/reward situation.

re: Let’s talk KembaPosted by shel311 on 2/13/21 at 10:38 am to SoggymossKemba has 2 years left at $37mil, that’s gonna be a no for me.
We’d be punting on this season AND the next 2 seasons and guaranteeing ourselves a bottom 5 defense.
We have enough draft picks, this deal would seal our fate as a complete nonfactor until 2024 at the earliest and wasting nearly half of the Zion/BI years.
re: Let’s talk KembaPosted by Soggymoss on 2/13/21 at 10:38 am to GOP_TigerI definitely see him making some kind of move. The team is to inconsistent night in and night out, some kind of shakeup needs to happen.
I don’t know if it’s for Kemba, but a move along those lines where he gets assets to take a player and open up minutes will be the type of move made if I were a betting man.

This season should not matter at all, there is no true upside to adding a guy for the sake of salvaging a 7th seed this season. It would be much better to stay put, and grab another top 8 or so pick and obviously hope you can get a little lucky and sneak into the top 4.

I agree some kind of shakeup, like moving some combo of Ball/JJ/Bledsoe, but we shouldn’t be taking on max salaries for bad players for 2 more years just for the sake of shaking shite up.
I mean, that deal in the OP would make us a worse team this season, by a lot IMO.

Can you say that with 100% certainty though? A year and a half ago Kemba was dragging a shite Charlotte team to the playoffs by himself. His Celtics stint started great until the knee began to give problems, but Ainge being Ainge, they chose to have him play through rather than having the surgery required to fix it.

Trade a couple of those dudes for similar expiring type contracts, NAW and Kira get the same developmental minutes and you don’t have $37mil tied up in Kemba freaking Walker for the next 2 seasons.

re: Let’s talk KembaPosted by Bronc on 2/13/21 at 11:28 am to SoggymossKemba is not CP3 and if you are reaching for that comparison I think I see where the problem is.
Kemba is an undersized combo guard that’s game is heavily reliant upon his quickness and using that to generate offensive firepower and assists for teammates, CP3 is a Stockton like guard that’s game is built around defense, elite three level scoring and elite floor general skills, he has the ability to read and react at an all time great level, and in that context, can break down an offense mechanically and mentally without needing elite speed and quickness to execute his game at a high level.
His game ages incredibly well, Kemba’s is set to age like more like Isaiah Thomas.

In golf, an albatross is something that most golfers will never have the fortune to make. This scoring term, which represents three strokes under par on a single hole, is extremely difficult to achieve. Several professional golfers have scored an albatross in a tour event, but the list remains relatively short compared with the number of holes collectively played by all the golfers in PGA Tour and LPGA Tour history.Albatross Betting TipsOverview
Scoring an albatross on a given hole requires that you are playing on a par-5 hole. If you were to hole out three shots below par on a par-4, this accomplishment would technically be called a hole-in-one rather than an albatross.
On a par-5 hole, you would need to sink your second shot to achieve an albatross. This feat likely would require precision and luck with a second shot that most likely is 200 or more yards from the green.Notable Albatrosses
PGA Tour legend Gene Sarazen was the first professional golfer to record an albatross in one of golf’s four modern major events, and he did so when the stakes were high. Sarazen earned this rare score on the par-5 15th hole of the 1935 Masters, which forced a tie for the lead and a subsequent playoff that he won.
Other pro golfers, including Jack Nicklaus, Shaun Micheel and Joey Sindelar, have scored albatrosses in their careers. A notable, recent albatross and belongs to Nicholas Thompson, who achieved the feat at the 2009 Fry.com Open. Roulette systems that actually work. After making an albatross on the par-5 11th hole, he made a hole-in-one on the par-3 13th hole. The back-to-back albatross and hole-in-one is an extremely rare occurrence in the game.Odds
The National Hole in One Association, which tracks holes-in-one and sets odds for the feat, states that an albatross is less likely than an elusive hole-in-one.
The association sets a golfer’s odds of making a hole-in-one at 12,700 to 1 or, for a professional, 3,700 to 1. The odds of achieving an albatross, meanwhile, are set at 6 million to 1.Considerations
One of the factors that makes scoring an albatross even more difficult is that most golf courses only provide golfers with two to five opportunities to achieve the feat.
Because it’s only possible on a par-5 hole, this limits your chances of an albatross to the number of par-5 holes on the course. Although you have a chance to make a 1-under-par birdie or even a 2-under-par eagle on any hole on any given course, the albatross remains highly elusive.
